Juneetenth 2022 Bay Area Celebrations

SAN FRANCISCO

Freedom Day at MoAD-June 18th from 11am-6pm at the Museum of the African Diaspora, 685 Mission St., San Francisco. To honor the holiday, they will be offering free complimentary admission to their current exhibitions on Juneteenth. moadsf.org

Juneteenth Festival by SF Citywide BSU- June 18th from 12pm-5pm, Jerry Garcia Amphitheater, 100 John F. Shelley Drive, San Francisco. Enjoy this day festival featuring local entrepreneurs, creators and artists presented by the San Francisco Citywide Black Student Union, a youth-led collaborative that emphasizes the importance of Black culture and youth in San Francisco. BlaCOEUR: A Black Culture Series- June 18th from 6pm-10pm, Westfield San Francisco Centre, 865 Market St., San Francisco. Juneteenth SF Freedom Celebration-June 18th-19th from 11am-6pm, 1330 Fillmore St., San Francisco. Thousands will be in attendance as we commemorate Juneteenth in the city’s historic Fillmore District with a celebration spanning eight city blocks and featuring performers, carnival rides and family-friendly activities. City of Richmond Juneteenth Parade and Festival-June 18th from 10am-6pm. Celebrate Richmond’s first in-person Juneteenth festival since 2019 and honor the history of Juneteenth.
