Selena's Sister Addresses Rumors That Chris' Items Were Removed From Museum

Selena's Museum is located in the heart of Corpus Christi and is filled with all kinds of memorabilia and artifacts of the late singer's life. All of her most prized and recognized outfits, garments, and even some of her most personal home artifacts are on display at the museum. The museum has all kinds of history of not just Selena Quintanilla but her band Los Dinos as well.

In the past there has been some dispute between the Perez and Quintanilla family over the publishing rights to media related to the late singer Selena. Chris Perez published a book titled To Selena, With Love and rumors say that the content in the book did not sit well with the late singer's family.

Due to the pandemic, the museum had been closed for some time, but has since reopened. In that period of time, some people claimed online that artifacts and memorabilia relating to Chris Perez were no longer on display in the museum and had been removed and in some instances Chris had been "photoshopped out" of photos.

As you all may know, the Netflix show is in the works and could be seen anytime in the next few years. This might mean that Chris' involvement in the show is very little if not zero involvement. Chris and Selena dealt with disapproval from the family early on, prompting her to write the song Amor Prohibido which some people say is a direct reflection of the early treatment that Chris and Selena got from their relationship.

Chris Perez took to instagram to express his sentiments over the alleged rumors of the museum and posted this photo with a caption that says: "I heard they were trying to make me nonexistent to Selena's legacy .....Go for it."

Suzette, Selena's sister, also took to instagram to clarify the rumors. She visited the Selena museum after hours and walked down the hallways and display rooms showing the fans that the rumors were false. Chris Perez's photos were still hanging on the walls as they were before, his photos with Selena had remained untouched and all the artifacts were still in place. See for yourself below:

Should the Quintanilla family make more effort to make Chris feel more involved in the process of telling her story? Does Chris have a reason to feel the way he does? What are your thoughts?
