Last Known Footage Of Naya Rivera Shows Her Going To Boat With Son

Authorities are still on the hunt for Naya Rivera, but officials have a better picture of what happened to the Glee alum in the moments that she was last seen on Lake Piru's boat dock.

On Thursday (July 9), the Ventura County Sheriff's Office released security camera footage that shows the star, 33, and her 4-year-old son, Josey, exiting her car after parking at the lake's almost empty lot. In the clip, she approaches the presumed boat rental stand and boards one of the pontoons. With a small black backpack and a large white bag in-tow, the duo appear to head westward on the lake in the CCTV footage, which spans about 16 minutes-long.

Rivera has been presumed dead after she was reported missing Wednesday night when staff at the rental company found Josey alone and asleep on the boat long past their three-hour window rental. As for Josey, the child was deemed "in good health" and has since been reunited with his father, Rivera's ex-husband Ryan Dorsey.

Additionally, a press conference was held on Thursday, where Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Kevin Donoghue admitted that responders "don't know" if they'll be able to discover her body. "If the body is entangled in something underneath the water, it may never come up," he explained. In an accompanying press release, Josey was able to offer investigators with an important piece to the puzzle. "Rivera’s son told investigators that he and his mother had been swimming in the lake, and he got back in the boat, but Rivera did not," reads the press release.
