60 COVID-19 Test Kits From Palm Beach County Among Those Damaged In Transit

More than a thousand people will have to be re-tested for the coronavirus in Florida.

The Division of Emergency Management says 1,702 COVID-19 tests were damaged in transit.

They include 60 test kits from Palm Beach County. Thirty of the tests came from the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach and another thirty from the South County Civic Center in Delray Beach.

A county spokesperson says the kits were destined for a lab in Virginia and came from drive-through and walk-up test sites across the state.

Those affected will will be contacted as soon as possible and be re-tested at their original test site.
